The fact that you have to re-do a whole bunch of your game? That's enough reason; they are getting paid for all of this, so they should live up to people's standards and serve them instead of having them serve themselves. You don't work as much on Slime Online anymore as was once the case in its glory days, and now the limited time you do have to spend is wasted on what? Having to edit 200 files? Plus, the size five times as big.

The sprites you already got in Game Maker become automaticly transparent, no change to do. I don't know why Blax need to re-do all this, maybe his sprites aren't in the game file...

Ah, that explains a lot. He externally loads them.

Yup, just saw that.

Sure, it took some time for me to redo al lsprites...but instead I could have changed one argument in a function I was using to load the ressources and it would have automaticly removed the background color.
But this would have prevented us from using partially transparent colors...and I rly wanted those.

I agree, GM8 (still) has some annoying problems, but the new features are great.
One of the best things is that tiles dont use as much ressources now and I can create rooms without the room editor havin hick ups

Yeah, the lagging room editor when there was too much tiles was very annoying...I was making 4800x320 rooms, and it was difficult to navigate in the room editor...

Well if you wanted to do it the lazy way you could have just done an if statement and had it remove the background if say the id was < #. But then again, I'm not sure if that would even work based on how you list them but whatever. lol
