Hiya Guys,
There are a few times that people have suggested Slime Online gets their own IRC server. And I was bored, so decided I would put one together for testing purposes. To connect, you need some sort of IRC client, such as mIRC, or you can use the web client Mibbit.

Connection Details
Server: slimenet.no-ip.org
Port: 6667
Official Channels: #lobby, #support

WARNING: if you register a channel like #so2-official or something, and you arent an admin on these forums your IP will be banned from our servers. Impersonating any of the staff members (Forums, or otherwise) will also result in an IP ban. You have been warned.

We already had an IRC chat.  It's pointless when we all have MSN, which isn't even used for SO anyways.

I didnt think there was, and I've seen a few suggesstions for one.

MSN is one of the worst IM systems, and not just in my opinion, but in alot of other peoples. Also, why are you talking about AIM?

@Cobalt, you can need downloads, but with ONE client you can access TONS of networks.

Lots of people dont like MSN, simply because it sucks... well, it doesnt completely suck, but it has lots of problems, it disconnects people for no reason, etc.

I find it useless.

Almost all of us have MSN accounts, why not use it? It doesn't suck because it was made by Microsoft, Cobalt, and you're a retard for thinking that the product is considered good or bad depending on who makes it. (Unless it's made in China)

MSN has its flaws, but its a hell of a lot more convenient than going to an IRC chat just to see nobody's on.

MSN is awesome to use, only problem is you have to literally ask everyone for their msn to talk to them (or just invite everyone in a group chat, which gets so annoying).

IRC is better, I use it all the time. Thing is, for the people who have never used it, they are complete morons and probably don't even know how to install the damn thing. Anyways, I was on this "slimenet" server last night, I left a message, I said hello, 1 person was on (Kamo), so I left my computer on for a good 6-7 hours, when I got back on IRC, I noticed my message was still there, Kamo never said anything, and the same number of people were still there (me and Kamo), so your IRC is not very active and most likely never will be. Haha, and it appears I can't even connect now:

* Unable to connect to server (Connection timed out)

I have much to believe this IRC isn't going to go very far.

Maybe your next attempt could be a "Slime TV"

Yea, thats why it was a test, seeing as it made no progress I will be turning it off. Also, you couldnt connect cause it randomly crashed while i was asleep ;P
